When families set out to find a tutor, most discover the same problem: plenty of people know Business Studies, but far fewer know how to turn that subject knowledge into higher marks. Many students understand the theory yet struggle to apply the content to an unfamiliar case study, build a chain of analysis or reach a convincing judgement. That’s where marks are lost, and it’s rarely fixed by more reading.
At Business Tutor, every tutor is a qualified teacher with a minimum of a Business degree, a PGCE or PGDE, QTS and at least two years’ experience teaching in state schools. Our team brings over 50 years’ combined classroom experience, including a Head of Department at a London school and an exam board examiner. That combination of extensive experience and specific experience of assessment is what makes our tutoring sessions different.

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- At least two years’ experience teaching in state schools
What we cover
We cover GCSE and A-Level courses for the major exam boards, as well as BTEC Levels 2 and 3, and many of our tutors also teach Economics and Business.
Please note that we don’t currently support IB students.

Who are your tutors?

How do online lessons work?
Lessons take place live on Google Meet and last 60 minutes. Everything is recorded in a shared Google Doc, so your child always has their notes and marked work to hand.
Which exam boards do you cover?
We cover AQA, Edexcel and OCR at both levels, plus BTEC Levels 2 and 3.
How quickly will we see results?
Every student is different, but many notice a difference in their exam technique within the first few weeks, because practice and feedback are built into almost every lesson.
